NATURAL ENERGY HEALING (REIKI)

Reiki, which originates from the Japanese word "Ray-Kee," refers to the universal life force or spiritual energy and is a natural healing technique that was rediscovered in the early 20th century by Dr. Mikao Usui. By utilizing the natural energy that surrounds all living things, Reiki provides a safe and non-invasive hands-on healing method. This life-enhancing energy has been recognized in the East for centuries through different names, such as chi in China, ki in Japan, or prana in India. Reiki aims to rebalance, revitalize, and accelerate the body's innate ability to heal itself, while also addressing the mind, body, and spirit at a deeper level, going beyond the symptoms to the root cause of an issue.

Reiki has a variety of applications and can be particularly effective in addressing emotional, physical, or stressful situations. It encourages positive lifestyle changes and helps bring the mind, body, and spirit into balance. While some physical problems can be resolved relatively quickly, the healing process for longer-term illnesses may take more time, as there are no fixed timelines for recovery. Even in the absence of any apparent issues, a Reiki treatment can provide deep relaxation and release any deeply held blockages. Reiki is a natural source of energy and does not have any harmful side effects, making it safe to use. In fact, it is now being employed by medical professionals and hospitals in conjunction with conventional medicine to accelerate the healing process.

Treatment:

A typical Reiki treatment involves the recipient lying down on a couch or sitting on a chair and relaxing. Reiki does not involve any belief system; the only requirement is the willingness to receive healing. The practitioner places their hands gently above various parts of the recipient's body and holds them in place for several minutes, allowing the Reiki energy to flow from the giver to the recipient. Typically, the entire body is treated, and the process takes approximately an 45 min to an hour. During the treatment, the recipient may experience different sensations as the Reiki energy flows to where it is needed. These sensations can include heat, coolness, or tingling. However, sometimes there may be no sensations at all. Rest assured that these are all natural responses to the body's unique method of re balancing and healing itself.

After a treatment, a very deep sense of relaxation is often experienced, and it is advisable to drink plenty of water during the next few days, due to the body detoxing, and to be aware of your bodies own needs, i.e. more rest, sleep or relaxation time.
